Strangely,it gives an error and says
The name Long does not exist in this context
long x = Long.parseLong("C050005C", 16);int y = (int)(x & 0xffffffff);`
I haveto use this because I get error of format exception when I use this:
int intAgain = int.Parse(value, System.Globalization.NumberStyles.HexNumber);
I also get index out of range error too.So what will be the solution to convert hex to int in my case ?Any help will be appreciated.
If I directly add (A3FD) & (9CE) I get (ADCB).
However if I've got them as representations of 2's complement of binary numbers.The answer changes to 9DCB (FFFF9DCB in 32 bits)
I understand that A3FD would not represent the actual number 41981 in decimal, but the number -23555.
I'm looking for a way to directly add the representations without doing the long calculation of converting to decimal and proceeding.
